Meetings are held at 10:00am, on first Saturday* of the month, at:
American Legion Hall
409 W. College Ave.
Silver City, NM
We are a local Veteran and Community focused organization.
Some of our biggest projects include:
- Final Mlitary Honors for Veterans at Ft. Bayard Veterans National Cemetery (and cemeteries throughout SW NM).
- Scholarships for students.
- Planning and sponsoring annual USMC Birthday Celebration (Ball).
- Presentation of Colors at special events and parades.
- Annual Toys for Tots program.
Membership is open to Veterans of all services and members of Veteran families of the SW NM community region.
Members of the community, in good standing, are also welcome to join us.
Detachment members include the Grant, Luna, and Hidalgo counties region mainly but include many members living throughout the US.
* Occasionally, meeting may get postponed till a later Saturday, whenever it conflicts with a pending event.
